So what did you think about.....THE CHERNOBYL DIARIES ?

If you have seen THE CHERNOBYL DIARIES, leave a comment below and let everyone know what you thought.   I got a chance to see this earlier this week and I was very impressed. I thought it was a great movie overall, and was pretty suspenseful the entire time.
My only concern was the very end, which I won't discuss since some people have still not seen it, but other than that, I liked the film.    If you haven't seen it, I recommend it for sure.   THE CHERNOBYL DIARIES is in theaters nationwide now.

Here is the basic plot of the film, for those of you unfamiliar with it. This is taken from the film's imdb page:

Six tourists hire an extreme tour guide who takes them to the abandoned city Pripyat, the former home to the workers of the Chernobyl nuclear reactor. During their exploration, they soon discover they are not alone.

Famous Zombie Jew in the shower

When I tell friends that I have sort of given up on the human race, they always sort of look at me weirdly and wonder why.

Now and again people also ask me how I can say such nasty things about others and complain so much over a stupefied populace.

Well, the next time I will just send them this link:

Oh, by Ba‘al Zəbûb, our awaiting Financial Armageddon cannot start soon enough…

Nude Zombie apocalypse cometh soon

Since I wrote this post I´ve been researching this Zombie thing for a couple of days and Lord and behold my findings!

You see it has always bugged me how sockpuppets within media can keep heaving out lies and how bloated pompous, ludicrous, obviously inbred, creepy little worms of the political sphere can get away with wrecking country after country while smirking happily at cameras. Shouldn´t either someone call their bluffs or, at the very least, prosecute one or two for obvious defrauding and counterfeiting?

And banksters after bankster, people of profound decadence and absolute immorality, can cheat, steal, rob, kill, inflate and grow obscenely rich by stacking up losses without even a smudge of accountability.

Europhiles and world governance totalitarians refuse to explain how it is going to look post crisis bailout, which is a little worrying, indeed considering trillions more need to be printed and borrowed upon the backs of our children and grandchildren. A person might think that there would be a great deal of detail being open to scrutiny, to see if it targets and mechanics are working, as proposed. As we now know their schemes of ye old didn´t pan out as the Keynesian mania suggest, why would today be any different?

And yes we are allowed to held referendums on the Eurovision Song Contest but holding a popular vote (if being European) on ECB bonds, EU-membership or why and how to bail out oily Mediterranean’s is, of course, out of the question.

Again and again we are asked to bend over and grab our ankles so unelected bureaucrats and deceitful collectivists can thrust that rusty pipe, without lubrication, further in. And no one seem to care that much. Sure a few protesters here and there, and sure at times the occasional body part get sent to those deemed better but in general, and as a whole, most just take it - at least as long as that corroded pipe, soon reaching our uvula, comes with ´free´ garbage collecting and a few vouchers.

There has to be some sort of explanation.

Stupidity is of course the obvious choice. But how and when did the dumbness set it? Looking at history it was probably always a part of human consciousness. But as we today have access to all the information necessary and have times gone by as a blueprint of what not to do, we should be less inclined to believe deceptive clowns.

That is however not the case. In fact we seem to getting dumber and dumber.

Is there something in the food? Have they contaminated our water supply? Do we get subliminal messages from our bellowed flat screen TV´s? Are cellphones emitting waves that disrupt our synapses? Is there a weapon created perhaps?

When facts and truths are right there in front of us and all we really need is a basic knowledge of plus and minus to see through the lies but we still refuse to acknowledge what is what, then something is clearly going on.

A zombiefication has occurred.

How?

Why?

And, perhaps most intriguing, by whom? The umbrella corporation?

If we are more like zombies then bodies with conscious souls people will of course turn full out zombie once the apocalyptical financial situation created by, sent forth by, and enhanced by The Powers That Be explodes during the coming months.

If so it can be good for those of us behind the shotgun to understand why the soulless creature before us turned. Well, perhaps you will care more about reloading for the next double tap, but regardless I will tell you anyway.

You see our minds have been constantly bombarded with the notion of collectivism for decades now. And the very core of collectivism is to frown upon all forms of individual thinking. A free thinking individual with his/her own ideas trying to live his/her life as he/she seems fit best, is an abomination. A person wanting to keep the fruit of labor is an outcast, and anyone questioning the all-knowing decrees of the progressive SocialFeminist central planning sphere will be prosecuted by the fullest extent of the law.

Day after day bought and paid for journalists report that all is well in the world. Although indignation sometimes arise when a glorious head of state spend $60 million a year on taxi fares, such reporting are however always followed by how splendid it is to spend $290 billion to exchange light bulbs in public building and this we are told by interviewing an “expert” stating that we now will save one Polar Bear every 5 years.

It’s good to pay tax, it’s honorable to stand in line at the hospital and it’s marvelous to be educated by gramscofabianazi teachers quoting government approved books stating that; zombie is the way to go.

A lazy unemployed person winning the lottery is put on the pedestal of human morality. A well-educated inventor working 24/7 and creating jobs to thousands should be put on trial in Haag for exploiting people who otherwise could be watching soap operas while munching on chemically processed snacks.

In such a world zombification will occur.

And a dumbed down populace already prone to unsteadily stroll down the street chanting nonsense over and over again are of course highly receptacle to things of THIS nature.

Not that parasites or government induced inoculations are necessary when people, in general, are totally clueless how to get food, water and shelter once this world crashes down the abyss of financial despair.

Cannibalism and flesh-eating mobs will, more than likely, be a common sight a few years down the line.

“nude?” you say and referring to my headline -- Nah, that’s just to attract readers, but its neither unlikely that people unable to get new clothes and with no idea how to use a pin and needle will become bare skinned as well.

Naked slow-moving brainless teens roaming the countryside doing anything for food...? Uh… perhaps this zombie apocalypse isn´t such a bad idea after all…

FLORES DE MAYO FROM THE PHILIPPINES!

Flores de Mayo (English: "Flowers of May") is a Catholic festival held in the Philippines in the month of May. Lasting for a month, it is held in honor of the Virgin Mary. The Santacruzan refers to the pageant on the last day of Flores de Mayo, held in honour of Reyna Elena and Constantine finding the True Cross in Jerusalem.
The name is derived from Flores, the Spanish word for "flowers". Also known as "Flores de Maria" ("Flowers of Mary") or "Álay" (Filipino for "offering"), the term refers to the festival as a whole. It was believed that "Flores" (short term for Flores de Mayo) originated in 1865 from the town of Malolos, Bulacan, when the young girls would make a floral offering to the Virgin Mary in the parish church.

In the Bicol region, especially in the locality of Barangay Sabang in Naga City, the Flores de Mayo is held every Wednesday and Saturday of May. It is headed by the Legion of Mary, Praesidium Cause of our Joy, with the last day called as "katapusan". The ritual is started with the rosary, with every decade followed by Spanish Marian songs.
The traditional "MARIA" with its respective meaning is said after the recitation of the Spanish Salve and the litany. After the ceremony, simple snacks are given to the children who attended the devotion. Alabasyon is the term for the prayers sung in honour of the Holy Cross.

In the Tagalog region, this custom and celebration started after the proclamation of the dogma of the Immaculate Conception in 1854 and after the publication circa 1867 of Mariano Sevilla's translation of the devotional "Flores de Maria"("Flowers of Mary"), also known by its longer title "Mariquit na Bulaclac na sa Pagninilaynilay sa Buong Buan nang Mayo ay Inihahandog nang manga Devoto cay Maria Santisima" ("Beautiful Flowers that in the Meditations in the Whole Month of May are Offered by Devotees to Mary Most Holy").

The Sagala

A Sagala is a religio-historical beauty pageant held in many cities, towns, and even in small communities throughout the Philippines during the month of May. One of the most colourful aspects of this festival, the pageant depicts the finding of the Holy Cross by Queen Helena, mother of Constantine the Great. Many movie and television personalities participate in the events and are featured in major sagala. This festival was introduced by the Spaniards and has since become part of Filipino traditions identified with youth, love, and romance.

Prior to the Santacruzan, a novena is held in honour of the Holy Cross.
The procession itself commemorates the search of the Holy Cross by Reyna Elena and her son, the newly-converted emperor Constantine. After the Holy Cross was found in Jerusalem and brought back to Constantinople, there was a joyful celebration for thanksgiving.

Order of the processionThe participants of this colourful pageant would follow this typical arrangement:

  1. Matusalém (Methuselah)- bearded and bent with age, he is depicted as riding a cart and looking preoccupied with toasting some grains of sand in a pan over a fire. This is a reminder that everything in this world is passing and will end up like the dust which he is toasting.
  2. Reyna Banderáda (Queen with a banner)- a young lady dressed in a long red gown carrying a yellow triangular flag. She represents the arrival of Christianity.
  3. Aetas - Represents the animist Filipinos who have settled the islands prior to Christianisation by the Spanish.

  4. Reyna Móra (Queen Moor) - Represents the Filipinos who converted to Islam, which arrived in the Philippines two centuries before Christianity.
  5. Reyna Fe (Queen Faith) - symbolises Faith, the first of the theological virtues. She carries a cross.
  6. Reyna Esperanza (Queen Hope) - symbolises Hope, the second theological virtue. She carries an anchor.
  7. Reyna Caridád (Queen Charity)- symbolises Charity, the third theological virtue. She carries a red-coloured heart.
  8. Reyna Abogáda (Queen Lawyer) - the defender of the poor and the oppressed, she wears a black graduation cap, gown (toga), and carries a large book. She may also be a representation of Mary, Helper (Advocate) of Christians.

  9. Reyna Sentenciada (Queen Sentenced/Convicted) - has her hands bound by a rope, she stands for the Early Christians, especially the virgins, who were martyred for the faith. She is accompanied by two Roman soldiers.
  10. Reyna Justicía (Queen Justice) - a personification of Mary as the "Mirror of Justice", one of her titles in the Litany of Loreto. Her attributes are a weighing scale and a sword.
  11. Reyna Judít (Queen Judith) - represents the biblical widow Judith of Bethulia who saved her city from the Assyrians by slaying the cruel Holofernes. She carries the head of her victim in one hand and a sword in the other. She is also known as Infanta Judith.

  12. Reyna ng Sába (Queen of Sheba) - represents the Queen of Sheba, who visited King Solomon and was overwhelmed by his wisdom, power, and riches. She carries a jewelry box.
  13. Reyna Éster - the Jewish queen of Persia who spared her people from death at the hands of Haman through her timely intervention with King Xerxes. She carries a scepter.
  14. Samaritána (The Female Samaritan) - The woman with whom Christ spoke to at the well. She carries a jug on her shoulder.
  15. Veronica - The woman who wiped the face of Jesus; bears a veil with three imprints of the face of Jesus.
  16. Tres Marias (The Three Marys)- each Mary holds an attribute associated with her:
a. Mary of Magdala - a bottle of perfume;
b. The Virgin Mary - a handkerchief;
c. Mary, the mother of James - a bottle of oil.

  17. Marian - each figure in this group alludes to a title of the Virgin Mary or to a figure associated with her.
a. "A-V-E--M-A-R-I-A" - eight "angels": girls all wearing long white dresses and holding a letter from the word "AVE MARIA".
b. Divina Pastora (Divine Shepherdess) - a shepherd's staff.
c. Reyna de las Estrellas (Queen of the Stars) - a wand with a star.
d. Rosa Mystica (Mystical Rose)- a bouquet of roses.
e. Reyna dela Paz (Queen of Peace) - a dove.
f. Reyna de las Profetas (Queen of the Prophets)- an hourglass.
g. Reyna del Cielo (Queen of Heaven)- a flower; accompanied by two little "angels".
h. Reyna de las Virgines (Queen of the Virgins) - a rosary (or a lily); also escorted by two little "angels".
i. Reyna de las Flores (Queen of the Flowers) - a bouquet of flowers.

  18. Reyna Eléna (Queen Helena) - the last member of the procession, she represents Helena of Constantinople who found the True Cross; this is alluded to by her attribute, a small cross or crucifix that she carries in her arms. This considerably prestigious role is usually awarded to the most beautiful girl participating in the pageant. In some communities, the identity of the woman who will portray the Reyna Eléna is kept a secret until the day of the procession.
a. Constantíno - the escort of Reyna Eléna; traditionally a young boy representing the Emperor Constantine.
The procession is accompanied by the steady beat of the rondalla, playing and singing the Hail Mary ("Dios Te Salve"). The devotees walking with the procession hold lighted candles in their hands and sing the prayer as they go along.

After the procession, there is a pabítin that serves as a culminating activity for all the children to enjoy. A Pabítin is a square trellis to which goodies (candies, fruits, small trinkets, etc.) are tied with strings. This trellis in turn is tied to a rope and is suspended on a strong branch or pole. Children then gather under the trellis as the it is slowly lowered. They then jump as high as they can to try to pick the goodies while someone jerks it up and down repeatedly until all the goodies are gone.
It is customary for males attending the Santacruzan wear, to the traditional Barong Tagalog and that the females wear any Filipiniana-inspired dress.

10 SIGNIFICANT EVENTS THAT FALL ON DECEMBER 25TH!!

Most of us know December 25 by one name – Christmas. We all know the story of Christmas, but most of us don’t know when the first Christmas was celebrated. Today, the world as we know it grinds to a halt on Christmas day, shops and restaurants all close down. It is a day of peace and tranquility, yet a time of great joy, for many. However, it was not always like that. I have created a list of a few significant events, some joyful and sprit raising, others sad and astonishing, that happened on the day we have come to know solely as “Christmas”. This list is in Chronological order, all dates are AD.

10. First Christmas/325
The-First-Christmas-Jackie-Mueller-Jones

This is the first date that Christmas was celebrated for certain on December 25. This is significant because Christmas is, arguably, the most widely celebrated holiday in the world. It is also a strange date to pick, since many astronomers and scientists agree that Jesus would have been born sometime during our current summer months.

9. England Adopts Modern Calendar/597
Julian-Calendar2

On this date, England adopted the Julian calendar. This is a significant event because it was the beginning of the adaptation of the calendar that would become, not only America’s standard, but the standard of the entire world, uniting us in the common way we look at time.

8. Charlemagne Crowned/800
Charlemagne-D%C3%Bcrer

Charlemagne is crowned Holy Roman Emperor by Pope Leo III. He would become, perhaps, the most important monarch in all of Europe’s history, founding the French and German monarchies. Today, he is often referred to as the “Father of Europe.”

7. William the Conqueror Crowned/1066
Willem De Veroveraar

William the Conqueror is crowned King of England. He successfully lead invasion forces into England and defeated King Harold Godwinson (who died in the conflict) at the famous Battle of Hastings. He would go on to lead England in reforms on building standards, fortifications, the English language and the Catholic Church.

6. The Christmas Flood Disaster/1717
Benton-Flood

The great Christmas Flood ravaged the Netherlands and parts of Germany and Scandinavia. It was caused by a violent northwest storm, the likes of which were unknown to the population at that time. The medieval dams and dikes could not handle the amount of rainfall and failed, causing massive flooding along the coastline, which is mainly flatland. At that time there was no good warning system, and the floodwaters moved so quickly it gave people little time to escape. Approximately 14,000 people lost their lives in the disaster.

5. Washington Crosses the Delaware/1776

Washington-Delaware-L

On this day, at approximately 11pm, Patriot General George Washington, along with 5,400 of his men, crossed the Delaware River, in order to surprise Hessian troops celebrating the Christmas Holiday. Around 8am the next day, his attack commenced. The Hessian defenders were quickly overwhelmed and fled from the town of Trenton, all at a cost of at most four American lives. While the victory was not a big strategic victory, it had a huge effect on strengthening the Patriots moral, and would lead then to continue the fight for independence. This is largely regarded as the battle that changed the course of the war.

4. The Christmas Truce/1914
Christmastruce1914 2

This event came to be known as the Christmas truce. On this day, at midnight, during the height of World War I, the Germans began to sing Christmas Carols. As morning came, the Germans emerged from their trenches and crossed the deadly “No Man’s Land,” unarmed, shouting “Merry Christmas” in their enemies native tongue. Seeing they were unarmed, the allies emerged as well and met their enemies, shaking hands and exchanging gifts of cigarettes and plum puddings. This event showed that, even in times of great conflict, humans are silly morally good.

3. Surrender of Hong Kong/1941
Japan Surrender Hkqt

On this day, The British garrison in the city of Hong Kong surrendered. The day after Pearl Harbor, December 8, 1941, the Japanese began bombing raids on the city. The British immediately put up a resistance and began evacuating the Chinese population to the Philippines. When the Japanese were alerted to this, they sent their navy to block off their evacuation roots, effectively cutting off the city from the sea. Attempts to flee the city by land were futile, as the Japanese army quickly surrounded the city, completely blockading it. They were cut off from any outside help, and the Japanese cut the water and power lines to the city. Facing death by dehydration, the British raised the white flag of surrender on Christmas morning. This event set up Japan for their planned invasion and takeover of China.

2. Longest Battery Powered Car Trip Ends/1985
801

On this day, the longest road trip completed on a single battery charge ended. David Turner and Tim Pickard arrived in John o’ Groat’s, Scotland, the northernmost point in Great Britain. They had set out four days earlier from Land’s End, the southernmost point in Britain, in a battery-powered Freight Rover Leyland Sherpa driven by a Lucas electric motor. They traveled 875 miles on a single battery charge. This event was a giant step in moving automobile makers away from gasoline and fossil fuels and focusing more on electric power, leading to many of the electric and hybrid cars we have today.

1. Unsolved JonBenet Ramsey Murder/1996
Pl Jonbenet 060817 Ssv

On this day, one of the most significant murder mysteries of our generation began with the murder of Six year-old JonBenet Ramsey. She was found under a blanket in her basement, with her hands and feet tied and her mouth taped, she had been strangled. Since this day many suspects have come up in the case, and several have even given a false confession, but evidence later proved the confessors to be lying. The chief suspects were the parents, as the ransom note for their daughter was written on paper found in their home, by writing utensils in their home, and the fact she was murdered in her own home without her parents awakening to any commotion seemed suspicious. These suspicions were raised when it was learned the parents were originally uncooperative with law enforcement. Nevertheless, a grand jury dismissed all charges against them due to lack of evidence. The case still goes unsolved even to this day.

+ Female Football Player/2002
Pg2 W Hnida 195

University of New Mexico junior place-kicker Katie Hnida attempts to kick an extra point in a game against UCLA in the Las Vegas Bowl. Though her kick was blocked by UCLA, Hnida became the first woman to play in a Division I football game. The next year in 2003, she attempted two extra points and made them both, becoming the first women to ever score in a Division I football game.

Blu-ray Review: MUTANT GIRLS SQUAD (2010)

MUTANT GIRLS SQUAD
Directed by Noboru Iguchi, Yoshihiro Nishimura, and Tak Sakaguchi
Distributed by Well Go USA Entertainment

I have said it before, and I will say it again.  I love Japanese Splatter films!!  I have loved them ever since I watched 2001's ICHI THE KILLER.   Other notable Japanese splatter films are THE MACHINE GIRL, ROBOGEISHA, and TOKYO GORE POLICE.  Well now we can add MUTANT GIRLS SQUAD to the list of classic Japanese splatter films.  Here is the basic plot synopsis from the Well Go USA website:

Rin is a seemingly normal Japanese high school girl, but on her 16th birthday, everything in her life changes when government special forces break into her home. After witnessing her mother’s face blown into bits and her father’s severed head falling into her birthday cake, Rin’s dormant mutant abilities are awakened: her arm transforms into a sharp, knife-encrusted claw, and a moment later, she finds herself standing in a pool of blood, surrounded by dead soldiers! Fleeing and fighting her way though her hometown, she encounters a group of girls who were also born as mutants, and call themselves the Hiruko. A breed of mutants who have existed long before the so-called “Japanese” invaded their homeland and began to persecute them, the girls have different special abilities: one can transform her arms into swords, one can grow tentacles from her fingertips, and one can grow a chainsaw out of her body. The team hone their skills under their demented and powerful leader, Kisaragi, for one purpose: to take revenge on the Japanese who have been persecuting their breed for ages, and to take over Japan and transform it into a land for mutants only! The revenge of the mutant girls will soon begin!

As with most all the Japanese splatter films, this film is just crazy!  Crazy in a good way of course, and this one goes way over the top!   The effects in this film are amazing and the fighting scenes are choreographed very well.  The use of color in this film is amazing and really pops out at you when viewing in HD on Blu-ray.

The plot is pretty simple, but that is not really why you watch this kind of film....it's all about the fighting and blood squirting, and there is plenty of that...along with head explosions, heads being sawed in half, dismemberments, and that's the normal stuff!!  Wait until you actually see all the different girls and their mutations including a girl with boob swords (yes, I just typed that), and a girl with a chainsaw coming out of her back end!  Oh, and did I mention the giant monster that spews acidic breast milk?  That is one you will have to see to believe.

MUTANT GIRLS SQUAD is a must have for fans of this type of film.  The DVD and Blu-ray is available now and contains special features such as Opening Day Coverage, Interviews, a Making-Of documentary, a spin-off short called "Yoshie Zero", and trailers.

WAR! - buckle up people

First there was this
Which for all intended purposes is an open declaration of WAR.

Then there was this idea

And then we have THIS ONE!

And while our benevolent leaders do this of course. they also come up with was has to be one of the most asinine ideas of humankind. Ever.

How can this not lead to war? When its all said and done, and the survivors crawl out of their Zombified caves to look at what has become of this world, their future historians will probably point towards Russia, Germany or the U.S. or some such to appoint blame. For me above suggestions, and more to come, will be far more of a culprit then anything else.

Remember where you read it first folks.

The Spanish Quantum Vacuum Collapse

Take a siesta hun, its all good...

Unlike the Large Hadron Collider deemed by some to be a doomsday device because certain theorists said that it could destroy the planet, the Spanish debacle will however lead us into a final death-spiral.

For a few years now I have been arguing that Spain is the most likely torch to ignite the first pile of manure that will knock over all other piles of crap like dominoes. And so mainstream historians (people with very little clue) will claim that: “it started in Spain, and it spread like wild-fire across the world. And so The Greatest Depression was created”. Just like they claim that Lehman brothers was the igniting factor back in 2008. Of course this is by large wrong - both claims are - but nevertheless this is what dummies of our über ventriloquist’s will argue.

All those bought and paid for puppets of the elitists, i.e. cornflake economists and journalists will continue on the same road as before. Arguing that there was too few regulations, we didn´t spend enough money and federalism, preferably on a global scale, would have saved us and is the way of the future.

Other asylum inmates whom should be carved into little pieces and eaten by a pack of wild dogs, i.e. socialists, fascists and other –isms, will of course blame capitalism, the Jews, Muslims and the rich, trying to create further animosity and build upon that “we against them” feeling so to gain power and be able to wage war against such fictitious enemies. But the fact of the matter is that Spain is by no means alone, they are just “unlucky” enough to, probably, be the first big piece to falter and crash.

To a person with knowledge in basic arithmetic and having a smudge of common sense none of these “explanations” will come as a surprise. That´s how the stupidity of a dumbed down TV-generation without awareness of history having been raised within the confines of public schools and continuously lied to by media and politicians, will react and think.

Lubricated orifice licking by elitist puppets below of those Deemed Better aside, the real problem of the matter, at the very core of our dilemma, is the lack of interest in what works and what don´t. People simply don´t pay attention. They don´t want to know that their lives are that of drones and zombies rather than free sentient beings. People refuse to acknowledge basic truths and see any reducing of their entitlements as an attack on their cushy existence. The ´free´ buffet of stuff promised by government is what matters, who cares if the government print trillions, borrow trillions more and indebt generations forward? Who cares if child’s of today will grow up impoverished and enslaved? Give us stuff!! Free stuff!! Fuck tomorrow!!

This is also at the core of Spain’s problems.

Almost all of Spain’s housing developers are totally insolvent. The banks that lend them the money are also insolvent. The government, having promised to back those bad loans lent to insolvent yahoos, is pretty much insolvent to. These facts even mainstream screw-ups acknowledge, but what is not said however is that those loans are turned over between banks, those debts are being traded upon as having “value” and banks are even lending out more money to contractors and developers so they can repay their old loans! And if that wasn´t bad enough now the Spanish government is even trying to use those bloated apocalyptical loans to prop up the banks. Again.

And here I haven´t even mentioned the derivatives and CDO´s and the inflation used to build upon all of this crap. I haven´t even touched the fact that the ECB is buying up Spanish treasuries to keep this fraudulent system running a while longer.

Add in sky-high unemployment numbers, succession movements in the Catalonian and Basque regions, international banking cartels sucking the system dry of what little wealth there is and a highly inflationary euro to this equation and what do we have?

A receipt for utter collapse and disaster.

Looking at the math, Spain may very well never recover. Seriously; Never.

Just as in most countries there is no incentive for the general populace, duped, tricked and fooled as they are, to turn it around. On the contrary, all the movements and ideas being listen to are that of collectivism and Keynesianism. The very things highly responsible for the mess we are in will apparently save us with more of the same.

We know that too much spending with money that does not exist and unholy alliances between banksters and politicians created this financial Armageddon. A blind hairless chimp with no limbs having undergone a lobotomy can see it, but not the people of this planet.

In our brave new financial world, honest accounting is a treasonous, terrorist act against the State. To anyone trying to show real losses, to show how many times a toxic loan has been turned over, lent upon, sold, re-sold and re-packed into something new that in turn can be turned over, sold and lend to new fools, is a worse person than if being a Nazi Al-Qaida member.

Somewhere in Spain, right now, I promise you all that there is a Bankia accountant being crucified upside down or waterboarded for failure to properly cook Bankia's books and financial disclosure statements.

That´s how the system works, and that’s what our benevolent leaders want to hide from you. They can´t really do it though so its right there to see, you just need to look.

It doesn’t matter if you are a limp-wristed, sentimental, lentil-eating hippie wanting to save the planet through banning lamp-bulbs, or if you are a leftie thug having the urge to put everyone earning more than you into concentration camps. The facts are the facts and the reality is right there.

Bank runs have already started, just as I knew they would and said would happen. And just as clockwork The Powers That Be are out in force either already imposing restrictions on taking out cash or outright planning to arrest and detain people who do. Some demonstrations are already getting declared illegal. Internet restrictions across Europe are growing by the second. Unelected eureaucrats and cloven kleptocrats are running around trying to find out what scheme they can use to save their previous plans.

Of course the strongest voices are saying "print money"; let us take you on a magic levitating carpet ride thanks to more QE baby!

A corrupt system ruled by oligarchical cabals has failed and all we are told is that we need more of the same - well, after (and during) austerity measures has robbed people of their last cash and handed it over to the oligarchs.

Of course all of this can be fixed. Even Spain can be saved. All it will take is to acknowledge real financial data, prosecute those responsible and let the system crash and cleanse itself. And after that roll back all restrictions and accept capitalism as our savior and benefactor. It will still take a few years before we are back to any sense of normality, but at least we would both avoid The Greatest Shit storm of all time and all that comes with it.

But as you can imagine that won´t happen.

Instead; say goodbye to all that you hold dear and brace for impact of what will be regarded by the survivors as “The End time”. The rapture is nigh and it has nothing to do with religion, but all to do with peoples stupidity.

DIY ORAGAMI BOX ORNAMENTS!

Y. Origami Box Ornaments by Samantha Miller

This awesome  project for D.I.Y. Origami Box Ornaments comes to us from Samantha Miller of Paper Red Shoes. I love the idea of hanging these for display (like she's done in the photo at the end of this post). Here are the directions and more from Samantha:
I have folded a few thousand of these boxes and have learned the following along the way: cut a good square, fold crisply, and practice before you use paper you really like!

Supplies needed:
  • Vintage or antique book
  • Paper cutter or scissors
  • Ruler
  • Ribbon
  • Fishing line.
Directions (CLICK ON THE IMAGES FOR A LARGER VIEW):

Tip: Whatever is on the topside of the square (as circled) is what you will see on the finished box.

Step 1:
Choose a great book. One with plate illustrations is usually best like old dictionaries with pictures. This one is over 100 years old! I got it from Oxfam for £10.

Step 2:
Tear eight pages from the book. Cut four pages into a 5in square for the top and four pages into a 4¾in square for the bottom. Depending how big your book is, you can cut larger squares for larger ornaments.

Steps 3 & 4:
Fold one top sheet in half horizontally. Fold the top half in half.

Step 5:
Fold in half again. This time vertically.

Step 6:
Take the bottom left corner and fold it at a 45° angle so that the corner is now in the middle.

Step 7:
Fold the bottom right quadrant at a 45° angle as shown above.

Step 8:
Fold the remaining 3 cut top squares as you did in steps 1-7. You should now have four folded pieces that looks like this.

Steps 9 & 10:
Slide one piece’s side under the fold of another. Make sure the first piece’s triangular “flap” is under the one you added.

Step 11:
Slide the third piece’s side into piece’s two fold. Make sure the second triangular “flap” is under the one you added.

Step 12:
Slide the fourth piece’s side into piece’s three fold. Make sure the third triangular “flap” is under the one you added.

Steps 13 & 14:
Here’s where it gets a bit tricky, but don’t despair. You can do it! Insert the first piece’s side into the fourth piece’s fold. Tuck the fourth triangular flap under the first.

Step 15:
Gently push the sides and corners together so that the pieces fit snuggly. Repeat steps 1-14 for the bottom of your box.

Step 16:
Now your box is done, tie some ribbon, yarn, jute, or whatever around it. Cut a piece of fishing line to make a loop. Thread the line under the ribbon and tie a secure knot.

Step 17:
Take the ends of the knot and poke them into the center of the box along with the knot. Straighten ribbon back into place.

Voilà!!   Now you have an originally beautiful ornament. Many happy folds!

PROCESSION OF THE HOLY BLOOD FROM BELGIUM!!

The oldest mention of the present procession is to be found in a charter of the Unloaders'Guild (1291). From it we learn that the guilds of Bruges were obliged to participate in the procession. Probably the Holy Blood was exhibited in the chapel on the Burg before 1291. And it is presumably from this custom that the procession originated.
From 1303 onwards one hears of a Holy Blood procession going round the city walls. Because the relic was town-property the procession was, of course, a civil and an official occasion in which horsemen, guildsmen and artisans, marksmen, city councillors and, naturally, the clergy, in all their splendour march with the relic.

In 1310, Bruges' city council decided to combine the festivities around the Holy Blood, its procession (May 3rd) and the two-week ceremonies, with the annual fair (April 23rd until May 22nd). As a result the numbers of those assisting at the procession and the devotion around the Holy Blood grew.
In the 15th and 16th centuries, profane scenes with giants, the Ros Bayard with the four sons of Aymon, as also the chambers of rhetoric of the city, were added to the biblical scenes (mystery plays). Due to the religious disturbances in 1578 it was considered safer to cease carrying the relic around outside the city gates. So, for the first time, the procession took place in the city centre and followed the course which, today, it still follows
Between 1578 and 1584, Bruges had a Calvinist regime. The procession was banned and the relic was taken to a place of safety. At the time of the Counter-revolution (17th century), and also in the 18th century the procession regained its religious character.

Floats with all kinds of symbols and representations gave it a triumphal aspect. During the French rule, the procession was again abolished (1798-1819), and the relic placed again in safety. In the 19th century the procession was composed of the seven parishes of the city with their numerous brotherhoods, congregations and schools. During the 20th century a variety of changes in the themes and the presentation were made.
The procession is conceived in a style dating back to Bruges' golden age (15th century), when Bruges was one of the most important harbours north of the Alps, and also a bustling commercial market and residence of the Burgundian dukes. During that period remarkable works of art were produced by the Flemish Primitives
The procession of the Holy Blood tries to answer the questions every man has on the meaning of his own life and on the existence of the world. Everyone wishes to be deeply happy.
That happiness has different names, according to the cultural background, called by some "Nirvana", by others "Heaven", or, in the biblical tradition :"'The Kingdom of God", "Sion" or "the new Jerusalem".

The procession is divided into four parts :

The Old Testament

The old myths tell of existential matters concerning the life of man.

The paradise, the banishment of Adam and Eve, the fratricide :

The creation was entrusted to man by God. By serving the Creator he preserves and protects creation. He gives names to all creatures and, in doing so, he becomes fellow-creator with God. But man is at the same time good and bad. The greatest sin is the pride from which envy and quarrelling originate. Because evil is rooted in man, he passes his life seeking for happiness, peace and the meaning of his existence. He is looking for lost paradise …

Erring man :

Invited by God, Abraham departed from his country for a strange, but better land to begin his life anew. Abraham let himself be led by God, in whom he trusted : it's the Covenant of God with his people.

The outcast man becomes the savior:

Joseph, his father Jacobs' favorite son, was sold by his brothers : since humanity exists, people leave their "brother" behind. Some do not even shrink from killing their kinsmen. Joseph, promoted Pharaoh's adviser, became his brothers' savior when they were driven to Egypt by hunger. In this way, Joseph is the prefiguration of Jesus Christ, who, as outcast, brings new life to humanity.

Throughout the history prophets appear who bring to our memory Gods' mission and the most fundamental rules of our life, respect of life, justice, love for and trust in God.

The New Testament

Christ was born in a carpenter's family, in an insignificant spot and it was the simple ones, the shepherds, who first received the joyous message. It means for the searcher after truth that he has to make a complete change in his ideas if he wishes to discover the deepest meaning of life.
The three kings, three wise men, come to Jesus from different parts of the earth, bringing with them the wisdom of Western, Eastern and African culture in order to attest that Christ is the answer to the question of life's meaning. Later on, the Child Jesus is talking to the teachers with depth and wisdom and He blesses the children because they are holy and receptive for God.
Jesus Christ gives the answer to the meaning of life

The same Jesus who is now with jubilation welcomed in Jerusalem will , a few days later be put to death. This shows that man is two-faced. Before his death, during the last meal with his disciples, Jesus delivered them his message of love which in turn they should deliver to the world. Jesus, however, will be betrayed and brought before Pilate.  He is sentenced to death in order to appease the anger of the people.
After being scourged and crowned with thorns, Jesus climbs up the Golgotha carrying his cross.
He is the symbol of suffering and at the same time of the everlasting life and of trust in love. The resurrection of Jesus, the central point of the Christian faith, means He is close to all who come to Him and, in doing so, live in joy and in peace.

The relic of the precious blodd and the chapel where it's kept

History

Preceded by heralds, flags and a band, Count Derrick and his followers came to Bruges in order to hand over the relic as a sign of the new Jerusalem.
They were acclaimed by the people of Bruges, even by the wealthy.

The Veneration of The Holy- Blood

Ever since the 12th century, the numerous brotherhoods and associations of the city of Bruges venerate and pay homage to the Holy-Blood.
Still today bishops and prelates, the clergy and the civil authorities in name of the people pay tribute to the relic.

The Noble Brotherhood of The Holy-Blood

The Noble Brotherhood of the Holy Blood was founded shortly after 1400. Its purpose is to safeguard the relic and to further its veneration. Its 31 members must be resident in Bruges and, as an old document puts it, be "honorable people".
The Provost can be recognized by his rich neckchain. On ceremonial occasions the Brothers wear a black silken tabard on which the pelican with her young is embroidered.

The Relic of The Precious Blood

For about 750 years the population of Bruges and its neighbourhood faithfully and intensively venerates the relic of the Holy Blood.
The Noble Brotherhood of the Holy Blood, being aware of the importance attached by the inhabitants of Bruges to their relic, made in the course of centuries every effort to keep up the tradition.

The relic of the Holy Blood is displayed each Friday, before and after the mass, to be venerated by the faithful.
This age-old practice reaches a peak on Ascension Day : Bishops and prelates carry the shrine in the streets of the city on occasion of a solemn and colourful procession of more than 1800 actors.
Each year 50.000 pilgrims are present at this original event.
